Facebook to let users search old posts by keywords

On Friday, social media giant Facebook announced their intent to allow mobile app customers to retrieve old posts with the help of keywords.
So, now your friends will be able to peep inside your Facebook history merely by using keywords.
Facebook representative was quoted by a leading website, as saying:
“We’re testing an improvement to search on mobile. In this test you can use keywords to search for posts you’re in the audience for on Facebook.”
Also, user will be able to see old posts on pages they “like”.
So, for instance, if you want to see old posts of you friend on an iGaming Conference, all you need to do is search “iGaming Conference”.
Contrary to what many believe, that the Facebook is vying to compete against arch-rival Google to seize the market share of the search business, it looks more of an attempt by the company to improve their website.
However, this endeavor could lead to people unearthing a lot of stuff about others from their past on the social network.
As of now, the impact of this feature is yet to be determined. But the buzz is similar to when the company launched their pet project “graph search” in 2013. That feature enabled people to search anyone based on their location, “liked” pages, job, education etc.
A lot of people thought, that feature was prying on their freedom on the social site. However, at this moment, it does not appear as though the current feature will be as invasive as the graph search tool.
Yet, there is one tip we could give you: if you have skeletons in your closet or if you have something objectionable on your Facebook even if it were in 2008, get it off.
